What to Expect
Sessions
Sessions typically last 50-60 minutes. My goal is to meet you where you are and we will work from there to come up with an individualized long term treatment plan. I will follow the lead of your pace and we will work together to find a pace that works for you.
Your first visit will be for filling out paperwork and it will be helpful if you can come ready to answer the question, "What brings you to see me today?" This is where we will start.
Your Rights
You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect, to be given adequate care and individualized treatment, to nondiscrimination in provision of treatment on the basis of race, gender, age, disability, national origin, language, creed, socio-economic status, marital status or sexual orientation, to have an individualized service plan reflecting problems and needs identified by yourself, to refuse any proposed treatment, to review case records with the therapist, to receive treatment free of any sexual exploitation or harassment and to lodge a grievance with the provider if you have reason to believe your rights have been violated.
Confidentiality
Your safety and trust are very important to me and I take your privacy very seriously. You have the right to be protected from the invasion of privacy and to have all information and records held confidential. In extreme cases there are exceptions to confidentiality listed as follows: where there is reason to suspect child or elder abuse or neglect, where there is a clear threat to do serious bodily harm to self or others, and when under court order.
Payments & Insurance
I do accept some insurance plans. Co-payments are due at the time of your session. My fee is $120 for 50-60 minute sessions. If you are not insured and meet income requirements due to unemployment or low wages I am willing to provide a sliding scale.
I can accept the following insurance plans: Aetna Beacon First Choice Regence Premera Cigna and others. Feel free to ask if yours isn't listed!
Payments can be made in the form of check, cash, or credit card. I accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover card.
